Tarentilla
I translated, reconstructed, and reimagined the Roman comedy fragment Tarentilla by Naevius, turning the surviving Latin verses into Classical Chinese and adapting them into a performable script. I played the lead role, Tarentilla, in our school’s theater festival.

This performance not only showcased a creative fusion between Latin literature and the Chinese classical tradition, but also demonstrated that—despite vast differences in language and culture—audiences from both Rome and China can laugh at the same kinds of humor and satire.
